Conservation

Claudia Hill is happy to give advice on the restoration and conservation of portrait miniatures, enamels and silhouettes. The materials used in making portrait miniatures, ivory and vellum, can crack or warp, as such miniatures need specialist care. Ellison Fine Art has access to Museum standard restorers and can arrange for collector’s pieces to be restored and conserved for the future. In addition we can occasionally source contemporary frames and have new bespoke frames made to measure. New Glasses can also be made to fit. If you have a problem with one or many miniatures in your collection please do not hesitate to contact us.
