Signed on the obverse, set in a gilt metal frame, the border set with decorative green enamel leaves interspersed with gilded flowers set with red enamel

Mlle Jaser (1782-1873) was born in Nancy, first being a pupil of Claudot then of Aubry, Isabey and Regnault. She painted amongst others portraits of Princess Caroline-Aurelia of Denmark. She was a good miniaturist whose style resembled that of Isabey
